Seattle Wedding Planning

Can anyone recommend a mansion/house outdoor backyard wedding venue in Seattle, WA area?

Wedding planned for June/July 2009 in Seattle. Would like a backdoor wedding, however, my house doesn’t have a big enough backyard to accomodate 100 people. Any advice is appreciated!

What about south of Seattle at Thornewood castle? As long as you are outdoors, there shouldnt be any problem (if you are actually staying at the castle, which is also a B&B, there are rumors that service and food is awful).

Its absolutely gorgeous and lush in the summer. This is also where Stephen King’s movie Rose Red was filmed. The sunken garden (http://www.thornewoodcastle.com/english.htm – pics) was really pretty.

You have to book early, as I hear that they’re pretty quick to fill up with reservations. They have plenty of space too for your guests and wonderful views.
